Sazerac

This classic New Orleans cocktail is similar to an Old Fashion. Traditionally made with Rye Whiskey and Absinthe, this strong cocktail has a delicious and unique flavor.

Ingredients

3 dashes Absinthe (Can substitute anisette or herbsaint)
1 jigger Rye or Bourbon Sazerac Rye is the premier choice
1 tsp sugar (or 1 sugar cube)
1 dash Orange Bitters
1 dash Angostura bitters
1 twist lemon peel

Instructions

Combine ingredients in a shaker
Shake well for 30 seconds
Pour into glass
Squeeze the lemon peel to spritz on top of the drink then garnish with the lemon peel
