Sazerac
This classic New Orleans cocktail is similar to an Old Fashion. Traditionally made with Rye Whiskey and Absinthe, this strong cocktail has a delicious and unique flavor.
Ingredients
- 3 dashes Absinthe (Can substitute anisette or herbsaint)
- 1 jigger Rye or Bourbon Sazerac Rye is the premier choice
- 1 tsp sugar (or 1 sugar cube)
- 1 dash Orange Bitters
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 1 twist lemon peel
Instructions
- Combine ingredients in a shaker
- Shake well for 30 seconds
- Pour into glass
- Squeeze the lemon peel to spritz on top of the drink then garnish with the lemon peel
