Sazerac

This classic New Orleans cocktail is similar to an Old Fashion. Traditionally made with Rye Whiskey and Absinthe, this strong cocktail has a delicious and unique flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 dashes Absinthe (Can substitute anisette or herbsaint)
  • 1 jigger Rye or Bourbon Sazerac Rye is the premier choice
  • 1 tsp sugar (or 1 sugar cube)
  • 1 dash Orange Bitters
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • 1 twist lemon peel

Instructions
 

  • Combine ingredients in a shaker
  • Shake well for 30 seconds
  • Pour into glass
  • Squeeze the lemon peel to spritz on top of the drink then garnish with the lemon peel
